WHAT PEOPLE SAY
When I received the invitation in 2019 from the American Corner, Cape Town to your presentation on “Parental Involvement/Engagement that contributes to learning” I was thrilled! My master’s research was focused on this topic and while I was making progress, I was still trying to find academic literature that resonated with the research. You were accessible and made the work accessible too. I proceeded to read your work Research in Parental Involvement (2017), and it was here that I finally found the missing piece to my research project. The aspect pertaining to non-traditional forms of parental involvement assisted me greatly! I have a great appreciation for the way your work incorporates hospitality and the inclusion of diversity into the way one considers parental involvement.
